Whitelabeling – layout

One of the most important parts of DataTako is its extensive whitelabeling options. Pretty much everything can be changed, from colors, to menu position, name, domain, email sender to the emails itself. DataTako allows you to fully whitelabel it to your own organisation. Your end users won’t know that it’s DataTako.

Below you’ll find a global explanation of the various options. Access the whitelabel settings https://app.datatako.com/settings/.

Appearance

The appearance section consists of 3 options:

Layout

The layout tab features various various layout options. The primary, secondary, additional base color can be updated, as well as the specific colors used in the navigation bar and the top bar of the application. The default ‘DataTako’ name can also be changed to your own company name.

Text colors: separately, you are able to change the primary and secondary text colors used as well as the navbar text colors.

Logo’s: the main logo can be changed, which is used at the top left of the application as well as in the login screen above the credential input.

The collapsed logo is used when you collapse the side menu:

The favicon is the little icon in browser tab.

You can also replace the Power BI loading indicator, as shown below with another logo, by adding the logo in the Loading indicator logo field and enabling the Replace default PowerBI loading indicator.

Report border mode: don’t want the grey-ish border around your report? Set the border mode to borderless and it will look like this:

Together with changing the background color, you are able to create a seamless user experience.

Additional layout options

Skin: switch between a softer and more defined border with the skin option.

Content width: by default the content will expand as you widen your screen. You can also choose for the boxed’ layout which creates a more compact feel.

Footer type: either have the footer always in place, fixed to the bottom or hidden.

Appbar (topbar): same goes for the topbar, always visible, stuck to the top or hidden. If you hide the topbar, the quick search and profile bubble will move to the navigation bar.

Menu layout: don’t want the default vertical menu? We also offer a horizontal menu option!

Menu collapsed: enable this setting to have the side menu collapsed by default.
