Whitelabeling – email settings

By default emails to new users are sent from app-no-reply@datatako.com. You can easily replace this with an emailaddress of your own. DataTako provided two options to configure this.

Option 1 – SMTP settings

Enter your own mail server settings and DataTako will use those settings for all outgoing emails from your DataTako organisation. This includes: user invites, password resets, activation emails, report subscription emails.

Option 2 – Office 365

With the second option you can setup emailing through any Office 365 account in just a single click. If you want to send mails from an Office 365 acount, we always recommend this setup. By default Office 365 blocks emailing through SMTP since april 2025. Option 2 is currently the official recommendation of Microsoft for outgoing emails in third party applications.
